it TAPI .NET is fully integrated in ACT! after installation and includes its own toolbar. When making
a call, it TAPI .NET searches your numbers already in ACT! and
if found, displays a pop-up with the associated contact information.
Highlights
Skype
As
many users was asking for it we added the support for skype
in to ACT, so if you want to call somebody, and ACT! knows
the Skype Adress, it Tapi.Net
will offer the call over Skype
Seamless Integration with ACT
ACT!Tapi.NET is so tightly integrated into ACT! that you will wonder how you managed without it. It's like
having your own personal predictive dialer.
Popup
The
popup window can be freely placed on your screen and configured for your
convenience. Only once you click on the popup window is a call placed or an
incoming call accepted.
Phone Numbers
All
phone numbers contained in the database (also custom ones) are displayed. Fax
and modem numbers can be suppressed.
Choose Display
Up
to three fields from your ACT! database can be choosen to display when your phone starts ringing
Open Tasks
All
telephone appointments for the current day or selected period and a choice of
Users are displayed and can be dealt with in turn. The tasks can then
automatically be designated as accomplished.
Return to Previous Tasks
If
you are currently working on a contact and a call comes in, you can switch to
the caller within ACT! After the call, you can return to the previous contact.
Setting up a Contact
If
you are called by someone whose number is not in the database, you can
immediately create a contact, the phone No. is inserted by it Tapi .NET and make a note of the call and a possible date
for calling back.
Copying
You
can add call numbers into an already-existing contact.
Choice of Fields
You
can choose the fields to be displayed.
2nd Contact
If
a 2nd Contact is calling you, you see the related contact.

Incoming Calls
Without Headset
After
picking up a call, the contact can be confirmed by mouse click. The timer
starts, the contact is displayed and a history-record is created.
By Lifting the Handset
After
picking up the Handset, the timer starts, the contact is displayed and a
history-record is created with pre-populated data.
With Headset
By
clicking on the contact, the call is accepted, the timer is started, and a
history-record is made.
Not Accepting a Call
The
incoming call is recorded in the history and an activity (incoming call) is
generated.
Outgoing Calls
Scheduled Outgoing Call
A
scheduled outgoing call is immediately initiated from the To-Do List in ACT! If
you click on it, the contact is dialed, the activity
is de-activated, and a record is created. If you do not reach the contact, the
activity at hand is deferred.
Unscheduled Outgoing Call
An
unscheduled outgoing call is initiated immediately from a contact, a website or
an email. A record is generated. If you do not reach the contact, a new
activity is created.
