PowerSeach.Net for ACT!

itPowerSearch.Net itPowerSearch enables easily configurable & extended search capabilities of all fields in the ACT! Database. Users easily define complex search schemas of selected fields and the data to find. Schemas can be named and saved to either the local or network drive with or without data. The “power” in the search is that multiple fields can be selected from the field dropdown list and searched for the desired value. Multiple search criteria can be saved within each schema and toggled off or on to run different levels of searches. If a field has a dropdown the data to search for can also be selected from the contents of the dropdown. The following search operators are available: Contains, Contains Data, Does Not Contain Data, Ends With, Equal To, Not Equal To & Starts as well as four levels of parenthetical grouping. This allows construction of a search like: C++ and (Oracle or MSSQL) Contacts that meet the search criteria are quickly presented in list view format when the search is run. The search results can be “narrowed” or expanded as required within itPowerSearch. itPowerSearch integrates seamlessly with an icon on the toolbar to open the schema window. Icons on the search window toolbar make easy access to the powerful search functions. Example: A recruiter’s database has 30 “skill” fields that are populated with skills and qualifications extracted from candidate resumes. A search schema with one criteria line can be quickly constructed to search all of the 30 fields for a particular qualification desired by the prospective employer. Additional schema lines can be added with “OR” or “AND” operators to further define the required expertise. A search of 3000 records takes approximately 1 second.
