COURSE DESCRIPTION:
The Internet and information
technology are having a huge and rapid impact on the way we all live, work
and do business. This course addresses the major forces driving the new
economy and the technological issues and implications involved. The course
covers, emerging e-business models, IT fundamentals, Business information
systems, Internet security, payment systems and legal issues.
COURSE OBJECTIVE:
19 modules of approximately 20 minutes each:
- Introduce emerging trends in new business models
- Provide an introduction to internet technology for
the non-technical business person
- Describe enterprise applications and how they move
information through the organization
- Discuss the elements of a practical strategy for
managing security, risk and legal issues on the Internet.
